Gucci has plenty of established bag franchises. The Borsetto is interesting because it is trying to become one. Introduced for Spring Summer 2026, its name combines “borsa,” Italian for bag, with “morsetto,” the Horsebit.
The large GG-canvas version is $3,100. It uses lightweight structured canvas, dark brown leather trim, the green-and-red Web and Horsebit hardware, with a detachable shoulder strap and enough capacity for an iPad, long wallet, phone and daily extras.
Is it worth it?
If you already own a Jackie or Horsebit 1955, the Borsetto offers a noticeably different function. If you are buying your first Gucci bag, the older icons still have the stronger recognition story.
