UGG’s newest collaboration with Willy Chavarria launches September 10 and deliberately moves away from the small, soft silhouettes that have dominated the brand’s recent fashion cycle. The headline piece is the UGG Willy Chavarria Biker Boot: a tall black leather style with an exaggerated shaft and custom collaboration hardware.
The collection also includes Chavarria’s interpretation of the Otzo Clog, built with a slouched black leather upper, wool lining, a contoured EVA footbed and custom hardware, plus the Hotel Chavarria Slipper.
UGG collaborations work best when the partner changes the silhouette rather than simply changing a color. Chavarria does exactly that. The biker boot brings the brand into a tougher, more fashion-forward lane while retaining the materials and comfort language shoppers associate with UGG.
